Taylor Swift & Amanda Seyfried Offered The Roles Of Eponine & Cosette In 'Les Miserables'

Taylor swift les miserables - Taylor Swift offered major film role, There are reports that singer Taylor Swift, 22, has been offered a role in the film adaptation of “Les Miserables” . Swift apparently beat out several stars for the role, including Scarlett Johansson, Evan Rachel Wood and a “Glee” actress.

Amanda Seyfried has pretty much locked up Cosette, as he's now in final negotiations for the part.
Considering Tom Hooper's splashy, star-studded musical "Les Miserables" is due in theaters by the end of the year, this thing needs to finish casting and get in front of cameras soon. And the race is on, as offers are now out for a couple of the remaining roles to be cast.
Twitch has been working their sources hard, reporting that Taylor Swift and Amanda Seyfried have started off the new year with offers for the roles of Eponine and Cosette respectively in the film. Swift looks as though she's now the favorite for the director who has been eyeing a number of candidates, including Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and (our personal choice) Evan Rachel Wood last fall. As for Seyfried, little did we know she's an opera trained singer, which should come in handy considering the rumor is that no voice doubles will be used in the production. The odd bit here is that she will be playing the daughter of Fantine, the role taken by Anne Hathaway, who is only three years older than she is. Hmm.

Should this come to pass, the duo will join the A-list cast that already includes Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Sacha Baron Cohen and Eddie Redmayne. The production is gearing up to shoot this spring -- but Swift has a tour lined up for Australia and New Zealand in March, which may cause a scheduling issue (unless they can work around it). But Seyfried's schedue is clear once she wraps up the porn biopic "Lovelace," which is shooting now. Anyway, this will all get sorted soon as "Les Miserables" hits theaters on December 7, 2012.
