NBC cancels shows, orders more
NBC has canceled three struggling shows while adding four new shows and renewing a few more. NBC has canceled "Law and Order: Los Angeles," sources close to the show said.
Things hadn't been looking so sunny for the series. The network placed "LOLA" on hiatus after eight episodes in order for the latest spin-off in the "Law & Order" franchise to undergo a creative revamp, which meant doing away with actors Skeet Ulrich, Regina Hall and Megan Boone, and making Terrence Howard a regular on the show. But despite the changes, ratings failed to pick up steam.
Also, the network added four comedies to its slate Friday.

They are: "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea," adapted from the autobiographical book of the same name by E! personality Chelsea Handler, "Free Agents," "Bent" and an untitled comedy from writers Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair now known as "BFF."
The bunch brings NBC's tally to six comedies, with the peacock network previously announcing the pickup of two untitled comedies from Whitney Cummings and Emily Spivey.
