Actress Jessie Wallace had a loved-up glow about her at last night's British Soap Awards and with good reason.

The EastEnders star is reportedly engaged to be married. The identity of her fiancé has been secret since they met last summer but Jessie was snapped with the mystery man prior to last night's awards bash.

According to the News of the World, her hubby-to-be is 50-year-old caterer Vincent Morse. It is thought the pair met on the set of EastEnders while Vincent was catering for the actors (he is largely being referred to as 'burger van man' in today's press).

A witness who spied the pair yesterday told the paper: "It was obvious how in love they are. They just couldn't keep their hand off each other and didn't care who was watching."

Last night confirmed that she is besotted with her man, saying: "He's the love of my life. I've never been this happy with man before. He's absolutely wonderful."

It makes a nice change for Jessie - her previous boyfriends have included Paul Whitworth, millionaire pal of Reggie Cray, and double murderer David Paris.

Jessie and Vince are rumoured to be tying the knot in August but Wallace, who plays loud-mouthed Kat Moon on the BBC soap, is reportedly "determined not to turn their relationship into a publicity stunt."
