Frampton lost guitar found

Frampton lost guitar found - Peter Frampton finds 1954 guitar, Peter Frampton's lost Gibson Les Paul guitar found on Caribbean Island of Curaçao after 32 years! Rock legend Peter Frampton has found his favorite guitar after 31 years. The guitar, which was believed to have been lost in a fire at an airport, fell into the hands of a musician before fans tracked it down and turned it over to Frampton.

A beloved guitar Peter Frampton thought he’d lost forever following a plane crash in the Caribbean 30 years ago has been returned to the rocker.

His prized Gibson Les Paul Custom, which he played on his landmark Frampton Comes Alive album was onboard a cargo plane that crashed en route to Panama in 1980, and the guitar great felt sure he’d never see the axe again.
But following an exhaustive search, two fans stumbled across the instrument on the Dutch island of Curacao, confirmed its authenticity and teamed up with local tourism bosses to get the guitar back to Frampton.

The rocker received the lost axe last month in Nashville, Tennessee and admits he’s stunned to have it back.

He says, “I am still in a state of shock, first off, that the guitar even exists, let alone that it has been returned to me.
“I know I have my guitar back, but I will never forget the lives that were lost in this crash. I am so thankful for the efforts of those who made this possible.

“Now that it is back I am going insure it for $2 million and it’s never going out of my sight again! It was always my number one guitar and it will be reinstated there as soon as possible. Some minor repairs are needed.”

Guitar experts at Gibson have confirmed the instrument is the 1954 Les Paul Frampton feared he’d lost forever.

Twilight musical
Twilight musical - 'Twilight' musical on Broadway, A musical version of the popular "Twilight" series is set to hit the Broadway stage this month. The show is a spoof of the books and films from the series and is being put on for charity. The cast includes several Broadway veterans, and a "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" star. Love Twilight and musicals?

Then you'll be thrilled to learn that the highly successful book-turned-film franchise is going to be made into a musical. Unfortunately, the musical is not expected to have a very long run; Twilight: The Musical will make its off-Broadway debut as a one-night only staged reading on January 16th with proceeds going to the charity Blessings in a Backpack.

The musical original premiered and was workshopped last year in New York. There is some blurry footage available on YouTube. With lyrics such as "I wish I had a boyfriend" and "Nothing ever happens in forks", it appears as though Twilight: The Musical will be in the same vein as A Very Potter Musical in that its a fun parody by people who loved the original.
The show has no official affiliation with Twilight author Stephanie Meyer or Summit. While parodies are typically alright, the show needs to emphasize the fact that its "unofficial" or a "spoof". The fact that proceeds are going to charity though probably helps their case.

Elton John Justin Timberlake biopic
Elton John is the subject of an upcoming biopic, and the singer knows which artist he'd like to play him - Justin Timberlake. The singer/actor is John's first choice for the title role, he told the Los Angeles Times.

"I've got a wish list of people," he told the paper. "No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of 'Rocket Man' and was superb" (Rolling Stone points out that Timberlake actually appeared as John in the music video for "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore").

John also shared some details about the film. He told the LA Times that it will be a "jukebox musical" that may include a couple of new songs.

"It's going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life, more in the manner of a 'Moulin Rouge!'" he added. "I just don't want it to be a normal biopic because my life hasn't been like that. And it only goes up to when I go into rehab in 1990. It starts with me going into rehab and ends when I come out."

John said an announcement about the film will be made very soon, and that a director is already on board.

"It's just going to be a matter of getting the script exactly the way we want it... then we'll start trying to cast and plan," he told the paper.
Salma Hayek to be knighted
Salma Hayek to be knighted,  Actress Salma Hayek has been selected by the French government to be inducted into the National Order of the Legion of Honour with the grade of Chevalier, or "Knight,"

Hayek was chosen by French President Nicolas Sarkozy to receive the honor and will be given the medal -- the highest in the Legion of Honour -- sometime in the next two months at the Elysee Palace in Paris, a source told People magazine.

The tradition was established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802 to honor outstanding military and civilian conduct. Joining Hayek will be Francois Pinault, her wealthy tycoon father-in-law, who has also been awarded the same honor.

British newspaper The (London) Daily Telegraph reported that some in France have accused Sarkozy of using the awards as a political move in advance of presidential elections. The tabloid also pointed out that Hayek's husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, is close friends with Sarkozy.

Former French Budget minister Henri Torre was also nominated, but he refused to accept the honor because "too many people were nominated who do not deserve to be honored," Torre told the French magazine Marianne.
Arnold wearing Maria's ring
Back on? Arnold Schwarzenegger spotted wearing wedding ring as Maria Shriver 'reconsiders divorce'

They are said to have spent Christmas together with their children in California with Maria Shriver said to be 'reconsidering' their divorce.

Now Arnold Schwarzenegger has been seen out and about with his wedding ring on.

The former Governor, 64, was seen enjoying a cup of coffee with friends in Sun Valley, Idaho and was sporting the gold band with a set stone on his left hand.

Shortly after Arnie admitted to father a secret love child with the housekeeper Mildred Baena in June, Maria was quick to remove her wedding band.

But Arnold was seen wearing his wedding ring as he tried to hold their marriage together.

However in recent months the Terminator star appeared to have come to terms with the split and was seen without his ring.

Arnold and Maria were said to have enjoyed a happy Christmas with their children Katherine, 22, Christina, 20, Patrick, 17 and Christopher, 14.

It comes as the journalist, who filed for divorce from her husband in June, is said to be 'reconsidering ' their divorce.

People cite a source close to the family who reveals that the couple 'had a really nice time' over the holiday.

According to the source, they also attended the Los Angeles Lakers' season opener game at the Staples Center in the afternoon.

The pair have spent been spotted with each other frequently since the announcement of their split in the wake of it being revealed that Arnold fathered a love child.

Shriver, 56, was by her ex's side on his 64th birthday in July.

The former couple, married 25 years before announcing their separation in May, have four children together: Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher.

Shriver filed for divorce from her husband after he admitted earlier this year to fathering a love child with their former maid Mildred Baena 14 years ago.

But it appears that Maria Shriver is reconsidering the move.

Due to a number of factors, including her Catholic beliefs, she has reportedly told friends that she is having second thoughts, sources have told TMZ.

Most devout Catholics do not believe in divorce.

The decision for Shriver is said to have been made even more difficult with Arnold's attempts to woo her back.

The Terminator star, 64, has apparently been showering her with gifts and acting 'extremely sweet' towards his estranged wife, according to the website.

Since announcing their split, the couple have been remaining amicable for the sake of their children.

They were even seen attending church together last month.

Maria is also still visiting Arnold's favourite Beverly Hills salon Guiseppe Franco.

She had her hair perfectly coiffed there earlier this month.

The Terminator star also organised haircuts for himself and sons Patrick, 18, and Christopher, 14, the same week.

The Schwarzenegger family shearings is perhaps one sign that Arnold and Maria are amicably working through their difficulties.

The pair split in May - following 25 years of marriage - when the former California governor and action movie star confessed he had fathered a young boy named Joseph with Baena.

The couple are also parents to two daughters: 21-year-old Catherine and Christina, 20.
Jolie Pitt waterfall
Angelina Jolie must have had a hard time putting a bow on her Christmas present for Brad Pitt. The "Land of Blood and Honey" director gifted her longtime partner with a waterfall in California, as well as its surrounding land.

Sources say that the gift, given for the holidays as well as for Pitt's 48th birthday, was meant to invoke Frank Lloyd Wright's classic house, Fallingwater. Pitt and Jolie visited the 1935 home, built over a waterfall, in 2006. Pitt allegedly had been itching to see it ever since reading about it in an architectural history class in college.

"Brad has always loved Fallingwater and his first trip there was unforgettable," a source told The Daily Mail. "Angelina wanted to get him something incredibly special and, because she knows how much he loves architecture, she thought this would be perfect."

According to the source, the idea is for Pitt to design a home to sit on the property.

"Brad has dreamed of a home with the sound of a waterfall cascading under the house ... Brad has always wanted to design his own house," the source explains. "He wants to pull all aspects of nature, light, glass and varying levels into the concept."

Pitt has shown a keen interest in architecture before. In 2007, he initiated the Make It Right project, commissioning 13 architecture firms to help rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, which was heavily hit by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. A year later, Pitt also consulted on an environmentally-friendly hotel in Dubai.

Lindsay lohan sue dubai

Lindsay Lohan was threatening legal action against party planners who allegedly falsely claimed she is appearing at a New Year's Eve bash on a famous cruise liner in Dubai.

The "Mean Girls" actress, 25, plans to ring in 2012 quietly at home, TMZ reported.

Lohan's spokesman Steve Honig told TMZ, "Lindsay is not going to Dubai, nor had she ever considered doing so. She will be spending New Year's Eve in Los Angeles with a few close friends and family."

Dubai media carried reports this week saying that Lohan will be one of the VIP guests on board the QE2, which is docked in Dubai, for the biggest New Year's Eve party in town.

The famous former Cunard transatlantic liner, which ferried 2.5 million passengers during more than 800 crossings, is now owned by Dubai investment firm Istithmar and moored at the emirate's Port Rashid. Plans to convert the ship into a luxury floating hotel were ditched as a result of the 2008 recession, and her future remains uncertain.
Lindsay lohan trespasser
Police were called to a New Year's Day disturbance at Lindsay Lohan's Los Angeles home last night - but for once it wasn't the actress causing the drama. Ms Lohan, 25, called officers after a man allegedly approached her front door trying to make contact with the star. When the man allegedly refused to leave, Lindsay called police who arrived on the scene and arrested him. The white man aged approximately 40-50 years-old wearing a baseball cap was pictured being escorted from the property by LAPD officers.

Officers were sent out on a service call to the home,' said Lieutenant Munoz of the LAPD Pacific Station.

'A man at the residence was allegedly asking for Lindsay to come out and he wouldn't leave.

'Ms Lohan called police who arrived and detained the man for trespass after Ms Lohan asked for him to be arrested.'

The name of the man arrested was not immediately available as he was still being processed, police said.

A Los Angeles judge recently praised Lohan, who is currently on probation for her a DUI and necklace-theft cases, for keeping to her community service commitments and receiving a glowing probation report.

The actress will start 2012 on a positive note after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner told the star 'You're doing well' at a December 14th progress hearing.

At the routine progress review Lohan was praised for completing 12 days of janitorial duty at the L.A. morgue on schedule as well as five therapy sessions.

She must complete another 12 days of duty at the morgue and three therapy sessions by her next court date of Jan. 17.

'She has been the perfect guest,' L.A. Coroner Chief Craig Harvey said at the time.

'She's been very low-key and she seems to enjoy the program here.'

Wouldn't you know it, Kim learns it's not a tell-all, but a guide to becoming an "it girl" using her as an example. NOW she feels BAD! Good one, E! Minus 71.

Jonathan hangs up on her after her attempt to apologize. Plus 15.

To make amends, Kim pens the foreward for Jonathan's book, sent over via Kris, obviously. He is touched. They make up, ending the snooze fest. Minus 8.

Seriously, why would Jonathan Cheban sabotage his BFF AND CLIENT? He may be a douche but the man's not an idiot. Minus 40 for expecting us to buy this.

Plus 20 for Jonathan being an inspiration though. He certainly didn't become an L.A. PR heavyweight based on physical attractiveness. Just saying.

Kris, the most mellow guy ever, decides to throw a party in their suite while Kim and Kourtney were in L.A. Totally of his own volition, we're sure. Plus 14.

Things got a little out of control after more people than Kris expected showed up. To a party thrown by an NBA star AND reality star? Stunner there. Plus 9.

Scott warns that the girls will find out. Of course they will, it's on tape! STOP TRYING TO PRETEND THESE ARE REAL PEOPLE AND NON-CELEBRITIES! Minus 2,500.

Kris says he should be allowed to have friends over to his own home. Plus 6, because no matter who he married, you can't argue with the man on that point.

Crazily, pics of the party are sent to K&K! What are the odds! Minus 7.

Scott steps up and takes the blame, saying he had work friends over and things got out of hand. Plus 20, because that was a nice, fake move of the guy.

Kris feels guilty and spills the truth. He feels bad, for no reason at all, and promises his plastic bride that he will never, ever do it again. Weak. Minus 10.
Meryl streep and kennedy center honors

The Oscars may be entertainment’s most glamorous night, but no awards show is more entertaining than the Kennedy Center Honors. Taped earlier this month, they finally air tonight at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.This year’s honorees include Meryl Streep, Neil Diamond, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, saxophonist and composer Sonny Rollins, and singer and Tony winner Barbara Cook. If finding out how Anne Hathaway ends up in a split while honoring her Devil Wears Prada costar Streep (who is also feted by Robert De Niro, Mike Nichols, Kevin Kline, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and Tracey Ullman) isn’t enough of a reason to tune in, below are a few others.

Among those honoring Diamond, whose tribute is introduced by John Lithgow: Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles (“Hello Again”), Smokey Robinson (“Sweet Caroline”), Lionel Richie (“I Am… I Said”), Raphael Saadiq (a medley of “You Got Me,” “Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon” and “Cherry, Cherry”), and, of course, Caroline Kennedy.

Cook’s tribute is introduced by Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick and includes a medley with performances by Tony winners Patti LuPone (“Loving You” and “Come Rain or Come Shine”), Sutton Foster (“Everybody Says Don’t”), Audra McDonald (“Till There Was You”), and Glenn Close (“Losing My Mind”), as well as Tony nominees Rebecca Luker and Kelli O’Hara (“Will I Ever Tell You” and “Will He Like Me”), young Broadway star Laura Osnes (“This Is All Very New to Me”), and opera soprano Anna Christy (“Glitter and Be Gay”).

Stephen Colbert introduces the tribute to Yo-Yo Ma, entitled “Symphony for the Eagle,” with help from Elmo.
