Lady Gaga Earned $90 Million & Voted AP Entertainer of the Year

Name                                                          Lady GaGa
Real name                                                  Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta
Date of birth                                               March 28, 1986
Place of birth Yonkers,                              New York, USA
Earnings  May 2010-May 2011                    $90 million

Lady Gaga's latest music video, for "Marry the Night," juxtaposes her desperate pre-fame years with high-concept, high priced art and fashion work, and it makes for a nice metaphor for her meteoric rise. Just a singer in a bar a few years back, Gaga has reached the top of the music industry, with Forbes announcing that she led all women musicians with $90 million in earnings from May 2010-May 2011.

The singer, who so often dominates iTunes and makes myriad public appearances, toured on her worldwide Monster Ball Tour for the duration of the year period. That produced a huge chunk of her revenue, as did sales for her album "The Fame Monster," which, though it came out in November 2009, held strong to sell over five million copies worldwide (and counting). Sales of her most recent album, "Born This Way," do not count in the total, as it was released in late May, 2011.

Following Gaga on the list of women performers are Taylor Swift, who made $45 million, and Katy Perry, who followed right behind with $44 million. Adele took in $18 million, though that only includes a few months of sales for her smash hit album, "21."

On August 17, Lady Gaga premiered her new video for the country-rock single "Yoü and I" two days early after portions of it leaked online yesterday.
The fourth video from her Born This Way album had not been due to debut until August 18, but she released the Nebraska-fimed clip last night on Twitter as her 1000th tweet, writing: "You must love all + every part of me, as must I, for this complex + incomprehensible force to be true."
"In contrast to the clip for 'The Edge Of Glory,' the new video is one of her trademark lavish productions," reviews NME.

The new clip "finds Gaga tapping into her various alter-egos, from male 'greaser' counterpart Jo Calderone to Yuyi the Mermaid," adds Billboard.
Earlier this week MTV announced that it would premiere the video on its station in the US, but fans can still tune in to a live-streamed Q&A with Mother Monster on MTV.com on August 18 at around 8 p.m. ET. 'They are ninth cousins once removed,' the New England Historic Genealogical Society specialist told the Boston Globe.

Child reportedly provided evidence of the findings, which showed that the two had mutual ancestors in the form of a farming couple, who moved from France to Quebec in the 1600s.

'When I saw that Lady Gaga had French Canadian ancestry, I thought there might be something there,' he said.

Lady Gaga's Ears Are Broken

Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" sounds like Madonna's "Express Yourself." The Amp hears it. Fans hear it. Evidently Madonna hears it. But Lady Gaga... not so much.
"I am not stupid enough to put out a record and be that moronic," Gaga told the NME at the top of a rant that began with denial then quickly transformed into rage, indignation, devastation, and religious pandering. It's her very own version of the Five Stages of Grief! We've helpfully diagrammed the conversation below:
Denial:
"No. Listen to me. Why the [expletive]...? I'm a songwriter. I've written loads of music. Why would I try to put out a song and think I'm getting one over on everybody? That's retarded."
[We agree! Tell us more about this, Lady Gaga. Also, we know there was no room for "retarded" among "gay, straight, bi, lesbian, transgender, black, white, beige, Chola, and Orient" on "Born This Way," but it's not nice to use that term as a pejorative, either.]
